First, I decided to go to the shipyard of Astillero. I decided to go there because I love ships and I have one. In my interview, I spoke with my boss about my timetable, clo
thes, etc. Then, he showed me around the shipyard.
On the first day, I learnt to organize ship plans and dry docks designs. This is very difficult because you have to know the weight of the ships to prepare it. On the same day, I learnt how to prepare a washing pump of the dry dock 1. There are two dry docks. The first one is shorter than the second one. In the first dry dock there are 3 washing pumps, and in the second dry dock there are 5.
During these 2 weeks I made the maintenance of all the shipyard, including the cranes. With this activity I felt very well because I did the things I like.
With this experience, I have learnt that I will try to study engineering in the future and to get a job.
